About
Born in Italy. Moving forward since 1972.
A rider's beginning
In 1972, motorcycle enthusiast Romano Magnani founded LEM in Italy. The name comes from Lavorazioni Elmi Magnani: a helmet company built around his passion for riding.
A place in helmet history
LEM contributed to the development of ECE 22, the European helmet regulation. That contribution is part of the brand's heritage in head protection, spanning more than five decades.
A wider world of riding
From its motorcycling roots, LEM expanded into cycling helmets and other sports equipment. The story continues through collections for different ways of moving, with riding at its heart.
